I Love Books!
Reading is one of my favourite hobbies, so when a friend approached me to design a cover for her new children's book I was eager to get going. This one project started my love of designing book covers and illustrations.
Working with each author to create a cover that not only matches their vision but also compliments the story, whilst simultaneously being something that encourages the desired audience to buy the book, is a fun challenge that I would be happy to take on any time.
I 100% believe in encouraging everyone to read as much as possible, so if I can create a design that helps readers (and non-readers) want to do that, I am a happy bunny!

Kai
Fun at the Beach

Childrens adventure novel starring Kai, a friendly water elemental.
The character on the cover is an embellished and overly detailed version of the illustrated character in the book. He was designed to be a mystical, attention grabber rather than an accurate depiction of the character to encourage sales.
This book is being directed at children around 10 years old (depending on their reading level) who want a bit more adventure with less pictures.
Little Dog
Big World

Children's adventure novel about a little lost cocker spaniel called Muffin trying to find his way home.
Commissioned by a close friend of mine this story is aimed at children 11 and up and was greatly influenced by the "Homeward Bound" series. The illustration of Muffin was inspired by my own spaniel puppy while the landscape is supposed to make the reader feel empathy for his predicament.
This is a wholesome story that anyone will be able to read and enjoy.
Flowers for Algernon

Classic science fiction story written by Daniel Keys in 1966. This is one of my all time favourite books so I decided to design a cover for it - just for fun. This is not an official cover.
This tragic story revolves around an experimental surgical procedure to increase the intellect of a human after the procedure was tested on Algernon (a lab mouse) with success.
The cover I designed shows Algernon and his maze, then the maze again inside the shape of a brain signifying how complex the human brain is.
The Silent Planet

Dystopian science fiction novel. At exactly the same time across the entire planet Earth every human stops being able to hear. The world falls silent to everyone on Earth, with the exception of one man.
The cover depicts our protagonist, just a normal guy who becomes different overnight with golden waves of sound behind him giving the cover a very direct corelation to the story.
Found Footage

This YA horror novel centre's around an influencer looking for their online partner who went missing after going for a hike in the woods. Their camera was found with some footage but their last moments holding it were scrambled. We follow their friend Mia who is trying to unravel the mystery and unlock the secrets of the footage on the camera.
The cover for this one is directly linked to the story having an oppressive nature coloured background along with a camera screen and blurry figure walking away.
